Project overview

Caboolture Hospital is undergoing a major expansion and redevelopment to build a bigger and better hospital with more health services and carparking for the community by 2023.

The population of Caboolture and surrounds is expected to grow by 51% by 2031. This means our hospital must grow to make sure we can meet the current and future healthcare needs of our community.

The Queensland Government has committed $399.5 million for the redevelopment of Caboolture Hospital, which includes $352.9 million for the redevelopment of Caboolture Hospital and $46.6 million to deliver a new multi-storey car park. An additional $3.55 million has also been committed to refurbish the Caboolture Hospital kitchen and move to a new patient meal service.

The Federal Government committed a further $10 million for a new 8-chair Day Chemotherapy Unit at Caboolture Hospital, providing chemotherapy and infusion services for cancer patients. The new Day Chemotherapy Unit will be delivered as part of the Caboolture Hospital Redevelopment program.

These exciting projects will see new facilities built and a refurbishment program that will enhance and modernise target spaces within the existing hospital, including family-friendly spaces for patients and visitors.

Safe, accessible and affordable parking for staff and visitors is a top priority for Caboolture Hospital.

The Queensland Government has committed $46.6 million to deliver a new six floor Multi-Storey Carpark for Caboolture Hospital. The new carpark will include over 1,000 parking spaces in a mix of multi-story and at-grade facilities.

It will be close to the new Clinical Services Building and include accessible parking spaces, charging stations for electric vehicles and motorcycle parking.

Construction of the Multi-Storey Carpark began in early 2021.

When the new Multi-Storey Carpark opens in 2023, a parking fee will apply to park anywhere on the hospital campus.
