If you do not own a smart phone, please call\u00a0(07) 5433 8060.<\/p>\n<p>If you own a Smart Phone (i.e iPhone, Samsung, Android Phone), download the Kardia app from the App store before your appointment.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"instructions__link-wrapper\"><a class=\"text-primary-500 hover:text-primary-800\" href=\"https:\/\/itunes.apple.com\/app\/aliveecg\/id579769143\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Kardia App for iOS\u00ae<\/a><\/li>\n<li class=\"instructions__link-wrapper\"><a class=\"text-primary-500 hover:text-primary-800\" href=\"https:\/\/play.google.com\/store\/apps\/details?id=com.alivecor.aliveecg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Kardia App for Android\u00ae<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you do not own a smart phone, you are not required to do this.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The device must be returned to the Cardiac Sciences Unit after 13 days (duration depending on your symptoms) from the day of application. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Note: Any recordings transmitted via a personally owned AliveCor KardiaMobile ECG device outside this period will not be monitored or actioned.<\/p>\n"}]},{"other_content":[{"heading":"If you are being tested due to Dizziness \/ Fainting (e.g Syncope) ","content":"<p><strong>A Holter Monitor<\/strong> will record your heart activity for approximately 7 days whilst you go about your normal daily activities.<\/p>\n<p>Disposable electrodes will be applied to your chest, which are connected to the monitor. The device fits into a pouch with a strap that can be worn over your shoulder or neck.<\/p>\n<p>It is best to wear loose, comfortable clothing and to wear pants or a skirt.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong>It is important that the <strong>device does not get wet<\/strong> so you must remove the device before showering.
