Here are the steps to follow:<\/p>\n
Visit your GP to confirm your pregnancy, discuss your maternity care options<\/a> and find out what kind of support is available in your community. Alternatively, you can contact a private midwife<\/a> who is able to do the same tests and also provide your pregnancy care.<\/p>\n At your appointment, your GP or private midwife will advise you on your expected due date and will organise:<\/p>\n You will need to take your Medicare Card to your appointment. If you don\u2019t hold a current Medicare Card, or if you live outside the Moreton Bay Regional Shire, please speak to your GP or private midwife about a referral to a hospital in your local area or to a private hospital.<\/p>\n Your GP or private midwife will send a referral letter to Caboolture Hospital.<\/p>\n Read about the different<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>maternity care options<\/a>\u00a0<\/span>before completing the form, as you will be asked your preference of maternity care. <\/span>Complete your online registration<\/a>\u00a0to make sure we have the most current information for your appointment.\u00a0We will send you an appointment letter with your first appointment date.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n You will have a booking-in appointment scheduled between 9-13 weeks (this is your first appointment<\/a>), where we will talk to you about the different stages and check-ups needed during your pregnancy.\u00a0 This depends on the medical and obstetric information you gave in your online form.
