Compassionate volunteers needed at Caboolture Hospital<\/strong><\/h1>\n

Caboolture Hospital volunteer Jan recently celebrated 20 years of service. The hospital is seeking more volunteers to help the community.<\/p><\/div>\n

With a major redevelopment underway, Caboolture Hospital is seeking more volunteers to help our community.<\/h4>\n

Volunteers are valued members of the hospital team and appreciated by patients, visitors and staff. They are coordinated by The Common Good.<\/p>\n

Our volunteers offer kindness and compassion to help ease worry for people coming to hospital.<\/p>\n

From welcoming people to the hospital, to lending a hand to new parents in maternity, to feeding the fish in Ward 4A, there is a volunteer role for everyone at Caboolture Hospital.<\/p>\n

Volunteer Jan recently celebrated 20 years at Caboolture Hospital and still enjoys helping others during every shift.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen I finished working in Brisbane, I decided I wanted to be involved in the Caboolture community where I lived,\u201d Jan said.<\/p>\n

\u201cI kept looking in the newspapers because I knew something would pop up and one day there was an advertisement for a volunteer at Caboolture Hospital and I decided – that\u2019s me!<\/p>\n

\u201cThe little notice sat on my fridge for several months then one day I decided I\u2019m ready, so I rang the number and here I am 20 years later!\u201d<\/p>\n

Jan said she would recommend volunteering at the hospital to others, because along with the positive impact it can have on people\u2019s lives, she has made many new friends along the way.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy feeling is that it\u2019s been a win for both the hospital and for me because I\u2019m out in the community and enjoying what I\u2019m doing. I enjoy the people I work with, the visitors, the staff.\u201d<\/p>\n
