Dr Grace Wagon is a proud member of the Caboolture Hospital team.<\/p><\/div>\n

For Grace, the decision to continue at the hospital was an easy one for several reasons, including the team environment, exposure to a wide and varied case load, and the hospital\u2019s proximity to her family and friends in Brisbane.<\/h4>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve always had an interest in heath and helping people, so studying to become a doctor was a natural progression for me,\u201d Grace said.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m originally from Brisbane but completed my studies in Victoria. Having the opportunity to come back to Queensland and be near my loved ones has been wonderful.<\/p>\n

\u201cI love working at Caboolture Hospital. Everyone is so friendly and it\u2019s nice to walk down the hallways and be able to recognise and say hello to colleagues from departments throughout the hospital.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have found that everyone is eager to teach and I\u2019ve learnt a lot from the fabulous medical staff, midwives and nurses who work here.\u201d
\nGrace is currently working in the Obstetrics and Gynaecology Department where she provides care to patients in the maternity unit and outpatient clinics such as the antenatal clinic and gynaecology.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve really enjoyed working in the outpatient clinic this year. I enjoy sitting down with patients, hearing what has been going on in their life and working out a plan for their care together,\u201d said Grace.<\/p>\n

\u201cI would encourage all medical students and junior doctors to consider working at Caboolture Hospital.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a busy hospital but the teams are generally smaller than at the big hospitals, so there are plenty of opportunities for hands-on experience and to really feel like part of the team.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
