Critically essential worker return to work process
Metro North has developed a process for identified critically essential workers who are asymptomatic close contacts.
The process in brief is:
- Line manager initiates the request and performs a risk assessment
- Staff member consents and provides relevant information
- Delegate makes the decision and informs line manager
Please contact your local EOC to initiate the process.
Tier 3
Metro North remains on Tier 3 of our COVID response plan and high risk PPE. We will review this in coming weeks as COVID numbers continue to fall and stabilise.
Currently we are very pleased to have a declining number of staff who are in isolation as close contacts (185 today down from 215 on Monday) or in quarantine with confirmed COVID (175 today down from 207 on Monday). These numbers have continued dropping since our peak in January.
Today we are caring for 51 COVID positive patients in our acute facilities and our Virtual Ward team are caring for 320 care participants.
Information about fit testing and staff testing locations is available on the COVID extranet. The locations of vaccination clinics and pop up sites is available online.
Hoping you can make it a good weekend.
Kind regards,
Mark Butterworth
Metro North Health Incident Controller
