We found the\u00a0sweet treats really got the conversation started!<\/p>\n<p>Keep an eye out for our future Meet and Greets \u2013 we would love to see you!<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019ve received lots of good suggestions which we are working through, actioning via the appropriate channels.<\/p>\n<p>We have also had some amazing feedback from staff about what they love most about working at STARS and we wanted to share this with you\u2026\u2026<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The friendliness of other staff\/colleagues.<\/li>\n<li>The fact that almost everyone uses STARS\u00a0name badges and uses them to say hi. It feels like a spa hotel.<\/li>\n<li>The people and positive culture. STARS has an exceptional work environment with managerial teams that actually care about their staff.<\/li>\n<li>The atmosphere! Especially between nursing and admin staff, there is a bit of a sense of family and comradery.<\/li>\n<li>My hard working team\u00a0that continue to turn up every day without expecting any praise or recognition for a job well done.<\/li>\n<li>Being a smaller hospital, communication is efficient and there is positive communication through departments.\u00a0I think this ability to network for problem solving is an opportunity within a smaller hospital.<\/li>\n<li>The team environment is strong &#8211; and this flows to patient care, forming a positive feedback loop of patients giving thanks and solidifying the team environment of quality care.<\/li>\n<li>The homely, friendly feel between frontline staff- those who are boots on the ground have beautiful rapport with one another and the majority if not all, are kind and considerate and are willing to support their peers ALWAYS!<\/li>\n<li><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-11629 lazyload\" data-src=\"https:\/\/metronorth.health.qld.gov.au\/extranet\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2022\/11\/stars-sc-members-1.jpg\" alt=\"STARS Staff Council meet and greet table\" width=\"300\" height=\"201\" data-srcset=\"https:\/\/metronorth.health.qld.gov.au\/extranet\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2022\/11\/stars-sc-members-1-200x134.jpg 200w, https:\/\/metronorth.health.qld.gov.au\/extranet\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2022\/11\/stars-sc-members-1-224x150.jpg 224w, https:\/\/metronorth.health.qld.gov.au\/extranet\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2022\/11\/stars-sc-members-1.jpg 300w\" data-sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 300px; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 300\/201;\" \/>Friendly smiles from\u00a0staff.<\/li>\n<li>Staff are treated as equals &#8211; getting in the lifts is a lovely experience as you get to talk to other staff. The food services, patient support and waste staff are so friendly.<\/li>\n<li>Innovative ways to do health care.<\/li>\n<li>Promotion of environmental sustainability.<\/li>\n<li>The hours I wish to work have been accommodated by my line-manager.<\/li>\n<li>Great rehabilitation service that is focused on improving care delivery for all patients.<\/li>\n<li>High focus on patient care.<\/li>\n<li>No weekend or public holiday work in my role serves a greater work\/life balance for staff satisfaction.<\/li>\n<li>Initiatives to always improve.<\/li>\n<li>Staff are kind and caring.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you have specific questions about where your feedback is up to, please email us (<a href=\"mailto:STARS_Staff_Council@health.qld.gov.au\">STARS_SC@health.qld.gov.au<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>If you have your own feedback, we&#8217;d love to hear from you!
