Yesterday, <\/span>Team Royal<\/span> enjoyed<\/span> delicious home-made burgers at<\/span> the <\/span>annual <\/span>Christmas barbeque. Member<\/span>s<\/span> of the RBWH Executive Leadership team <\/span>employed<\/span> their best burger flipping technique as they got behind the barbeque to say thanks to RBWH staff for a great year.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>

Dianne Bosanquet celebrates 50 years of service\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n

\u00a0<\/span>RBWH Food Services Officer and Dietetic Assistant Dianne Bosanquet recently celebrated an honourable 50 years of service to RBWH.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Dianne started working at the Boonah Hospital in 1972 in Operational Services, but has spent her majority of career working at RBWH as a Food Service Officer and a Dietetic Assistant.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

After hitting the 50 year mark, she has now decided to retire.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Congratulations to Dianne for this wonderful achievement and best wishes for your retirement.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>

RBWH\u2019s very own aqua man<\/p><\/div>\n

RBWH\u2019s very own aqua man <\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span> <\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/h2>\n

RBWH\u2019s PSO Dave Conner has earned himself quite the name as the hospital\u2019s resident aquarium expert.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Dave brought in all the aquarium supplies from home when he first started working here four years ago and set up a tank in ward 9BS for patients and staff to enjoy. Since then, he frequently spends his lunch breaks caring for the fish, cleaning their tanks, and ensuring they are as happy and healthy as possible.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThe patients really enjoy coming to watch the fish and the snails. They often bring the Eat, Walk, Engage Group up here to look at them,\u2019 Dave said.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI was recently called to one of the other wards to provide some emergency care for their aquarium set up. I managed to work out what the problem was and now their fish are happy again.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s great to be able to bring some extra joy to the ward.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>

The RBWH Social Work team ran their very own Christmas decorating competition within their department. The highlight was a scale model of James Mayne and Ned Hanlon Buildings, complete with a helicopter arriving from the North Pole! Well done to social workers Olivia Abbot and Emily Needham.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>
