Again, yet another example of how we are supporting hospitals, patients and families.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Our Rehabilitation Unit has joined numerous hospitals who are participating in the pilot of the statewide Sepsis Project, with the aim of educating and upskilling our workforce to improve patient outcomes.<\/p>\n<h3>Queensland Adult Specialist Immunisation Service<\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/metronorth.health.qld.gov.au\/rbwh\/healthcare-services\/qasis\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-13240 size-full lazyload\" data-src=\"https:\/\/metronorth.health.qld.gov.au\/extranet\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2023\/03\/qasis-shareable.jpg\" alt=\"Queensland Adult Specialist Immunisation Service (QASIS) shareable\" width=\"250\" height=\"153\" data-srcset=\"https:\/\/metronorth.health.qld.gov.au\/extranet\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2023\/03\/qasis-shareable-200x122.jpg 200w, https:\/\/metronorth.health.qld.gov.au\/extranet\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2023\/03\/qasis-shareable-245x150.jpg 245w, https:\/\/metronorth.health.qld.gov.au\/extranet\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2023\/03\/qasis-shareable.jpg 250w\" data-sizes=\"(max-width: 250px) 100vw, 250px\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 250px; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 250\/153;\" \/><\/a>Many of you would have heard of Metro North\u2019s Queensland Adult Specialist Immunisation Service (QASIS) during COVID-19, where the specialist team assisted hundreds of Queenslanders with complex medical conditions to receive their COVID-19 vaccinations.<\/p>\n<p>Recently, the service has expanded their scope of practice to provide vaccination advice on a broad range of vaccinations, with a particular focus on those in the National Immunisation Program.<\/p>\n<p>The service is available to people across Queensland aged 16 and over who have previously had an adverse event following immunisation or are at risk of a significant adverse event, have an underlying complex medical condition and are unable to be vaccinated in a primary healthcare setting, and require post immunisation supervision in a hospital setting.<\/p>\n<p>If you have a patient who could benefit from the service, I encourage you to get in touch with the team.
