Angie Dobbrick, Executive Director, Caboolture and Kilcoy Hospitals and Woodford Corrections Health<\/p><\/div>\n

To support planning for transition to new facilities, workforce onboarding and service readiness for the Clinical Services Building and multi-storey car park, a target date has been set.<\/h4>\n

The target date for the commencement of the occupancy period in the Clinical Services Building and multi-storey car park is 30 June 2023<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

On this date, it is expected that we will commence occupancy activities in the Clinical Services Building and multi-storey car park, including protective services, cleaning and waste management services.<\/p>\n

Operational commissioning activities will also intensify in preparation for the first clinical service move, which will occur approximately six weeks after the target date.<\/p>\n

It is essential for everyone that we continue to focus our efforts on working towards this target date and minimise all non-essential change.<\/p>\n

In the event that the target date moves, we will inform everyone as soon as possible in order to prioritise clinical service delivery and patient safety.<\/p>\n

Focus on Closing The Gap<\/h3>\n

We must continue our efforts to Close The Gap and have a continued strong focus on the Metro North Health Equity Strategy 2022-2025<\/a>.<\/p>\n

On National Close The Gap Day yesterday, Metro North Health launched new Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander scrubs. This is one of the many ways you can show your support for working towards improved health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patients, their families and the wider community.<\/p>\n

This new series of unisex scrubs featuring the indigenous artwork developed by esteemed Aboriginal artist Elaine Chambers-Hegarty. See the designs and order your scrubs.<\/a><\/p>\n

Orders opened yesterday and close on Thursday 13 April (after Easter). Scrubs will be delivered in early June to your home address.<\/p>\n

Got a passion for innovation, transforming and leading improvements in Metro North?<\/h3>\n

Griffith University has come on board to deliver Metro North Health\u2019s Graduate Level Program in Health Services Innovation.<\/p>\n

The program, which is designed for both clinical and non-clinical staff, aims to equip our staff with knowledge and skills of health systems, leading innovation, health economics\/cost effectiveness and implementation science.<\/p>\n

These are the skills we need to lead innovation and transform the health service to meet our current and future needs. It\u2019s a competitive process with only 30-40 staff accepted into the program across Metro North.\u00a0 More information.<\/a><\/p>\n

If you want to take an active role in leading change, put your best foot forward! Applications close on Friday 21 April.<\/p>\n

What a compliment!<\/h3>\n

Here\u2019s a great compliment for the Caboolture Emergency Department and our colleagues at TPCH:<\/p>\n

\u201cCare and professionalism of the medical staff:
\n4.30 presented at Caboolture Hospital
\n6.30 transferred to Prince Charles
\n8.20 procedure to insert a stent to her heart completed.<\/p>\n

\u201cEverybody involved worked together to basically save my wife\u2019s life for which I am externally grateful.\u201d<\/p>\n

Finally,<\/h3>\n

On Wednesday (22 March), Caboolture Hospital will host Chief Executive Jackie Hanson and Chief Operating Officer Jane Hancock. The ‘Listening Post’ event will be a great opportunity to have an informal chat with the health service leadership.<\/p>\n

It will be held in the Caboolture Hospital Chapel courtyard on Wednesday from 10.30am to 12pm. Note this event now starts and concludes 30 minutes earlier than we\u2019ve previously promoted.<\/p>\n

Also, on Wednesday, the Metro North Staff Expo in the Caboolture Hospital Education and Skills Centre foyer from 11am to 2pm will bring together a range of staff benefit providers \u2013 more than 15 this year \u2013 including superannuation, staff wellbeing and salary sacrificing options.<\/p>\n
