This week, I had the pleasure of catching up with staff as part of the Brighton Health Campus Shining Star Awards and our regular executive roadshow.<\/h4>\n

With 34 nominations from the facility, it was very difficult to pick a winner, so in the end the judges came up with seven deserving winners across a number of professions and services.<\/p>\n

Given the number of nominations and great work of nominees this number could have been a lot higher!<\/p>\n

Congratulations to our March Shining Stars from Brighton:<\/h3>\n

\"SarahSarah Fitzhenry, Advanced Physiotherapist, Brighton Rehabilitation<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cFor always looking for opportunities to enhance the practice or systems in the service for the wellbeing of our patients.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Terri-Ann Morton, Senior Administration Officer and Michelle Molineux, Facility Administration Officer<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cFor always assisting with a smile on their faces and a positive attitude. They go above and beyond for the facility and patients.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Lauren Harris, Speech Pathologist, Brighton Rehabilitation<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cFor not only receiving two nominations but for being a rock of Brighton Rehabilitation and continuously looking for patient care improvements.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Julie Euler, Recreation Officer, Gannet House<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cFor always advocating for our aged care residents and having a happy, positive attitude that is infectious!\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Jennifer Beyer, Clinical Nurse Consultant, Brighton Rehabilitation<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cFor shining so bright through her expectations, willingness to provide feedback and tireless energy to improve the service.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

\"Brighton\"BrightonBrighton Rehabilitation Unit <\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cFor the team\u2019s efforts supporting many patients to gain the confidence and capability to return home safely and ultimately live their best life after trauma.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

The full nominations and reasons why they were winners will be published in the Voice of Brighton<\/em><\/strong> which will be sent out next week.<\/p>\n

So, please keep an eye out for it and take the time to congratulate your fellow shining star winners at Brighton!<\/p>\n

Broader COH Shining Star Winners for March<\/h3>\n

There has been a lot going on in the past month and as result we have identified some very special Shining Stars for March 2023 from across the directorate.<\/p>\n

And I am sure that if goes with no surprise that the March winners for the broader Community and Oral Health Shining Star Award are:<\/p>\n

\"HalwynHalwyn Centre Staff<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cFor their strengths \u2013 teamwork, compassion, advocacy, resilience and delivery of personalised care to residents and families during difficult times. <\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cThe Halwyn team are committed to providing specialised care that protects the welfare and human rights of all that live at the centre.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Oral Health Centre staff<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cFor coming together during trying times to ensure the smooth operation of the oral health centre and the continued delivery of high quality education and mentoring to our future generation of oral health professionals.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Larissa Visco, Social Worker, Hospital in The Home<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cFor always putting other people first and shining a light on the great work and caring nature of her colleagues. As a social worker it is clear that she always puts others before herself and she is a clear shining light for compassion and teamwork.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cLarissa is the number one nominator for fellow staff members who are considered for the Shining Star Award in Community and Oral Health.\u201d<\/p>\n

I also want to thank all of the nominees this month, who were also truly deserving.<\/p>\n
