Angie Dobbrick, Executive Director, Caboolture and Kilcoy Hospitals and Woodford Corrections Health<\/p><\/div>\n

I want to begin this message by reflecting on the success of our recent staff events. There was a tremendous effort by the organising teams involved, and the staff engagement and feedback demonstrated a collaborative and collegial spirit and created opportunity for shared learnings and improvement.<\/h4>\n

Thank you to the teams behind Harmony Day, The Staff Expo and our first ever Yarning Table, an innovative face-to-face event where community and staff collaborated to discuss ideas around Health Equity for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.<\/p>\n

Metro North\u2019s Chief Executive Jackie Hanson and Chief Operating Officer Jane Hancock also hosted a Listening Post event at Caboolture Hospital on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

Everyone agreed that the opportunity demonstrated the importance of sharing ideas and suggestions. As Jane Hancock said, \u201cNot everyone wants to talk about complaints, it\u2019s equally a forum that provides an opportunity to share ideas.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u200bThis approach means we are all an active part of a wider ecosystem, which ensures innovation ideas, suggestions and complaints have effective channels to be heard and listened to.<\/p>\n

Metro North staff survey<\/h3>\n

\"MetroOn the theme of feedback and staff engagement, I\u2019d like to encourage all staff to participate in the upcoming Have Your Say survey<\/a> which launches on 19 May 2023.<\/p>\n

The survey takes less than 20 minutes to complete and provides employees the opportunity to provide feedback on their experience of the workplace and suggest improvements that could be integrated to improve the way we work together.<\/p>\n

Get ready for room service<\/h3>\n

\"CabooltureOur exciting new food service model launches on Tuesday 18 April 2023. Michelle Suter, the Director of Dietetics and Food Services at Caboolture Hospital recently presented a pre-nursing education session on the service which places patients at the centre of their hospital food experience.<\/p>\n

Room Service Meals on Demand (RSMOD) is an innovative and efficient model that helps to ensure patient\u2019s nutritional needs are enhanced, and assists the hospital to address food wastage concerns.<\/p>\n
