--smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 300\/170;\" \/>Kind, safe and inclusive quality care every day<\/h3>\n<p>We are committed to providing kind, safe and inclusive quality care every day.<\/p>\n<p>As part of that commitment, I invite you to join Metro North&#8217;s Chief Executive, Jackie Hanson and our Chief Medical Officer, Dr Liz Rushbrook, next Monday at 11.00 am for a Vidcast focussing on Standard Three &#8211;\u00a0Preventing and controlling infections.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/comms.health.qld.gov.au\/ch\/92002\/nkb4y\/7082\/mMhniI6w5ER3c4iFno_xF0iBK74OgkgYmPppFhBj.html\">Join the Vidcast from 11.00 am next Monday.<\/a><\/p>\n<h3>Premier\u2019s Award for Excellence<\/h3>\n<p>You may have seen from the Chief Executive message last week that at the Premier\u2019s Awards for Excellence recently, Metro North shared in the Queensland Health win for the response to the COVID-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n<p>This is an excellent outcome and is not only reflective of the leadership of Metro North, but the immense work delivered by Community and Oral Health staff across our testing, vaccination and hotel quarantine teams.<\/p>\n<h3>Culture and Wellbeing Initiatives<\/h3>\n<p>Community and Oral Health is dedicated to building healthy workplace cultures that value and enhance the health and wellbeing of our staff. I want to thank everyone for their response to the COH culture and wellbeing survey that was completed in late March.<\/p>\n<p>It was very encouraging to see how many local events and initiatives are currently occurring across our services such as wellbeing and kindness walls, peer responder sessions, professional celebration days, wellbeing checks-ins and local staff social events.<\/p>\n<p>Following the survey, our Community and Oral Health Culture and Wellbeing Committee are taking the themes and findings forward to support culture and wellbeing programs locally.<\/p>\n<p>We are supporting facilities to assist with key wellness initiatives that bring everyone together. There will be more detail about this support circulated through our bulletin in the coming weeks and months.<\/p>\n<h3>Flu timetable is now out<\/h3>\n<p>It became the burning question \u2026 when will our COH Flu Vaccination Program start?<\/p>\n<p>The answer is next week!<\/p>\n<p>I encourage as many staff as possible to \u2018Flick the Flu\u2019 and take advantage of the free vaccination available.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/comms.health.qld.gov.au\/ch\/92002\/nkb4y\/7117\/mMhniI6w5ER3c4iFno_x4ifE3RMcH7KFB7dJ0v6j.pdf\">COH Flu Vaccination Timetable<\/a><\/p>\n<h3>Medical Leadership Intensive Program<\/h3>\n<p>Metro North has recently launched a new Medical Leadership Intensive Program, to enhance the leadership skills of senior medical staff across the organisation.<\/p>\n<p>The program provides comprehensive knowledge to help medical leaders navigate the challenges of the complex and changing environment within the healthcare environment and influence positive change.<\/p>\n<p>The program is initially available to Clinical Directors and Medical Directors within Metro North. It is delivered in three individual sessions over a 12-week period. To find out more, please email <a href=\"mailto:MedicalLeadershipIP_MN@health.qld.gov.au\">MedicalLeadershipIP_MN@health.qld.gov.au<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3>Anzac Day Sunset Service<\/h3>\n<p>The Anzac Day Sunset Service will recommence this year, the first time since COVID-19 which is great news!<\/p>\n<p>I know that many of our Brighton Health Campus residents, staff and patients take the time to pay their respects during this local service.
