The interprofessional team is developing and delivering a range of novel education and professional development programs across the campus.<\/p>\n<p>The RBWH Royal Resus Race aimed to highlight adult resuscitation as an essential skill, improve awareness and drive increased uptake of training, using gamification to inspire and engage participants.<\/p>\n<p>RBWH Project Lead and Staff Specialist Resuscitation Education Dr Sean Wing said quality CPR and early defibrillation is the cornerstone of any resuscitation attempt, with the evidence showing that quality CPR and a standardised approach improves patient survival and reduces preventable harm.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Royal Resus Race initiative provides a unique and engaging way for teams to engage in essential resuscitation skills practice,\u201d Dr Wing said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe capability for the team to be mobile and deliver training in novel places means there is much better access to the training for clinicians who would normally not be able to access a &#8216;standard&#8217; training class.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are hoping this takes off as an annual initiative!\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div><div class=\"fusion-sep-clear\"><\/div><div class=\"fusion-separator fusion-full-width-sep\" style=\"margin-left: auto;margin-right: auto;margin-bottom:50px;width:100%;\"><\/div><div class=\"fusion-sep-clear\"><\/div><div class=\"fusion-clearfix\"><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The RBWH Anaesthetics team have claimed the official Royal Resus Race title for the highest participation rate, with 73 members of their team now \u2018resus ready\u2019, while the General Surgery team took out the top spot for a unit average score of 99.1%.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":53,"featured_media":15322,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"_searchwp_excluded":"","footnotes":""},"categories":[176],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-15290","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-news-at-the-royal"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v26.2 - https:\/\/yoast.com\/wordpress\/plugins\/seo\/ -->\n<title>Anaesthetics crowned Royal Resus Race winners!
