Tami Photinos, Executive Director<\/p><\/div>\n

It’s great to be back at TPCH following my time in at Metro North as Acting Chief Operating Officer. It was an excellent opportunity to gain higher level oversight about the priorities and issues impacting upon our broader health service. I was also fortunate to enjoy a week\u2019s leave in the Hunter Valley before returning to the office this week, so I\u2019m feeling refreshed and ready to get back into continuing the fabulous work we do here at Charlies.<\/h4>\n

A special thanks to Karlene Willcocks who covered the Executive Director TPCH role in my absence; she did a great job in holding the fort and supporting the team.<\/p>\n

Executive update<\/h3>\n

This week, A\/Director Corporate Services, Bianca Neaves and I visited some of our outpatient areas to check in with staff on the progress of the ESM changeover and do a general touch base. Accompanied by Manager Ambulatory and Outpatient Services, Sharyn Trappett, we chatted to staff in Heart Lung, Specialist and Gastroenterology Outpatients who told us they are gradually getting used to the new system. We thank these teams for their positive support of the change.<\/p>\n

During the walkaround we also stopped into Cardiothoracic Surgical Outpatients, Transit Lounge and the Patient Flow Unit where we briefly spoke with staff about their issues of the day. It was certainly good to get out and about again!<\/p>\n<\/div>

Have your Say survey<\/h3>\n

I have been reviewing the feedback received through the Have your Say staff survey, in particular, the specific messages addressed to myself and other members of the Executive Leadership Team. An overriding theme highlighted through these messages is workload, and staff not feeling adequately supported to do their job.<\/p>\n
