Kim Thomson, Senior Training Officer CHRP<\/h3>\n

I\u2019m very new to Caboolture! I\u2019m a nurse and have been working at RBWH for four years on the Bone Marrow Transplant and Haematology ward.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m currently the Senior Training Officer with the Caboolture Hospital Redevelopment Project. It\u2019s a really new and exciting role for me, as I am very
\ninterested in education and wanted to try out project life.<\/p>\n

\"Kim,The team is fantastic at Caboolture. There is a good culture around the hospital. There are lots of opportunities available to challenge myself and it\u2019s closer to home, which is great for work\/life balance.<\/p>\n

Working with mum and Sean is so nice! It’s lovely being so close to Mum and I work in the same office as Sean, so the sibling banter is great.<\/p>\n

Gail Thomson, Casual Administration Officer<\/h3>\n

I officially retired as a Primary School Educator at the end of 2022, but I wasn\u2019t ready to completely give up work.<\/p>\n

Through Sean I learnt about the Caring Together Consumer Network and that\u2019s how I became involved with Caboolture Hospital. I really enjoyed being a consumer representative, especially when I was on the VAD (Voluntary Assisted Dying) Committee.<\/p>\n

When Sean mentioned the hospital was looking for people for the casual administration pool, I applied.\u00a0I interviewed in mid-January 2023 and began training at the end of the month.<\/p>\n

I enjoy working on the wards and the teamwork between all the departments is amazing. The people here make this a great place to work. Their passion, dedication, and diverse cultural backgrounds are inspiring, interesting and make coming to work a pleasure.<\/p>\n

I am very proud of my two children and their accomplishments. Working at the same place means I get to catch up with them at least once a week and hear what they’re up to. We can actually relate to what each of us is talking about.<\/p>\n

Sean Thomson, Senior Project Officer CHRP<\/h3>\n

\"SeanI started at Caboolture Hospital as a School Based Trainee in 2016.<\/p>\n

I was 15 at the time and Mum had to really convince me to do it. Here’s a photo with colleagues from my 16th birthday.<\/p>\n

After the traineeship, I started working as an Administration Officer and I\u2019ve worked almost everywhere in the hospital.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s been 7.5 years since I started the traineeship and I\u2019m now a Senior Project Officer with the CHRP Education and Induction team.<\/p>\n

Working with Mum and Kim still feels very strange. Kim and I have always gotten along well but there\u2019s definitely some sibling rivalry with us both in the same office at the moment.<\/p>\n

Everyone at Caboolture is so friendly and it has become like a second family. It\u2019s been a pleasure growing up here and I have my mum to thank for pushing 15-year-old me in the right direction.<\/p>\n
