Redcliffe Hospital<\/p><\/div>\n

Thanks to the hard work of hospital staff and the generosity of our local community, Raise it for Redcliffe’s Giving Day last Thursday raised over $208,000<\/a>.<\/h4>\n

Giving Day is the biggest fundraiser for Raise it for Redcliffe, and we have many people to thank for making it such a success this year.<\/p>\n

At the top of that list are Sharyn Tidswell and the team from the RBWH Foundation, Dr Joel Dulhunty, local radio station Bridge FM, and the many Impact Partners who matched community donations, dollar for dollar.<\/p>\n

On the day, it was great to have Elwyn Henaway back at Redcliffe to help us launch Giving Day, and we’re grateful to Kerbi Davis for sharing her powerful story of what it means to be both a staff member and a patient.<\/p>\n

The big bake sale was popular again this year, with coordinator Wendy Luttrell and the Allied Health team struggling to keep up with demand. All of those donations and all of that hard work raised more than $5,800 for the cause.<\/p>\n

Well done to REDDY Fun and Fitness and the Facility Services team for bringing the fun to the West Block car park, with activities and food trucks for everyone to enjoy. In the phone action hub, we had more than a dozen hospital staff donating hours of their day to take and make calls from donors.<\/p>\n

It was a huge day, and I’d like to thank everyone who helped make it a success.<\/p>\n

Raise it for Redcliffe will be holding a staff thank you event on Wednesday 8 November and the invitation for that should be in everyone’s Outlook calendars.<\/p>\n

Raise it for Redcliffe Hospital began in 2021 as our philanthropic partnership with the RBWH Foundation. Since it began, it’s raised more than $700,000.<\/p>\n

Funds raised continue to support research, like Alyce Nissen’s fellowship grant<\/a>, and major projects like those currently underway in our Palliative Care and Rehabilitation Units<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The 2023 round of Wishlist Grants will open in the next couple of weeks, offering hospital teams funding for practical projects that make a real difference to staff and patients.<\/p>\n

To everyone who contributed to the success of this year’s Giving Day, thank you.<\/p>\n<\/div>
