Could I please encourage you to continue to:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>wear masks in clinical areas, in line with the PPE guidelines<\/li>\n<li>ensure flu and COVID vaccinations and annual fit testing are up to date<\/li>\n<li>maintain compliance with mandatory training programs<\/li>\n<li>stay home if you\u2019re unwell and inform you line manager if you are off sick as soon as possible and complete the Smart Leave form on MyHR\u00a0check with your line manager for any other requirements in your local workplace under your directorate Acute Respiratory Illness Response Subplan.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For further information please refer to the Acute Respiratory Illness Response Plans via the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/comms.health.qld.gov.au\/ch\/92002\/1bm76n\/11074\/5nhuRsbO0.MvMFxmOoC3AM1yOLwvF.puToaZa7T..html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-auth=\"NotApplicable\" data-linkindex=\"5\">extranet<\/a>.<br aria-hidden=\"true\" \/><br aria-hidden=\"true\" \/>RAT kits will continue to be made available to staff in certain circumstances.<\/p>\n<h3>Nurse Practitioner Week<\/h3>\n<p>Next week is nationally recognised as Nurse Practitioner Week, 11-17 December 2023. I would like to take a moment to acknowledge and celebrate the outstanding work of our Metro North Nurse Practitioners. This dedicated group of healthcare professionals plays a vital role in improving access to care through the provision of advanced assessment, diagnosis and management for our patients and contribute significantly to the success of our organisation.<br aria-hidden=\"true\" \/><br aria-hidden=\"true\" \/>Nurse practitioners are registered nurses who have authority to practice autonomously and collaboratively in an expanded clinical role and bring a unique blend of clinical expertise, compassion, and dedication to their roles.
