the festive break I want to again thank everyone for another amazing year.<\/h4>\n<p>I am so proud to work with you all and to be the Executive Director of Community and Oral Health.<br aria-hidden=\"true\" \/><br aria-hidden=\"true\" \/>In 2023, we saw some great work, innovation and success while managing a few challenges, and here are some of the highlights:<\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>We paused to\u00a0<b>recognise\u00a0the 15-year anniversary<\/b>\u00a0of the National Apology to the Stolen Generations at Brighton Health Campus (see photo above).<\/li>\n<li>We began our\u00a0<b>COH executive roadshow<\/b>\u00a0at North West Community Health Centre to catch up with staff for a chat and afternoon tea, and thank them\u00a0for their\u00a0efforts.<\/li>\n<li>Our Metro North Oral Health Services (MNOHS) took the lead in the first\u00a0<b>comprehensive oral health study<\/b>\u00a0of more than 5,500 school students.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><div class=\"fusion-builder-row fusion-builder-row-inner fusion-row fusion-flex-align-items-flex-start fusion-flex-content-wrap\" style=\"width:104% !important;max-width:104% !important;margin-left: the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards with no recommendations.<\/li>\n<li>The Aged Care Quality and Assessment Commission continue to provide big ticks of\u00a0<b>approval for the care provided at Gannet and Cooinda House<\/b>.<\/li>\n<li>While we are still waiting for the formal assessment outcome, the lead for the NDIS Practice Standards Assessment at the\u00a0<b>Halwyn Centre<\/b>\u00a0started his feedback with a single word \u2026 \u201c Perfect\u201d.<\/li>\n<li>We saw some positive feedback from the recent\u00a0<b>Metro North Have Your Say Staff Survey<\/b>\u00a0and look forward to continuing the\u00a0gains over the next few years.<\/li>\n<li>Close to 2,000 vaccinations were delivered at the Ekka by\u00a0the\u00a0<b>Flu Vaccination Clinic<\/b>\u00a0coordinated by our team.<\/li>\n<li><b>Ninety-year-old resident Brian from Cooinda House opened a cinema<\/b>\u00a0<b>built\u00a0<\/b>in response to family and resident requests.<\/li>\n<li>Our gardeners have gone<b>\u00a0totally and sustainably green<\/b>\u00a0to reduce noise\u00a0and improve the patient experience across our sites.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Introducing new services and improving the patient experience<\/h3>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>Our\u00a0<b>MNOHS\u00a0services relocated<\/b>\u00a0to the Kallangur and Caboolture Satellite Hospitals.<\/li>\n<li>We opened the new\u00a0<b>Older Persons Assessment and Rehabilitation Service\u00a0<\/b>at Kallangur.<\/li>\n<li>We established\u00a0the\u00a0<b>COH Rainbow Room<\/b>\u00a0&#8211; a fabulous new initiative that will help support diversity, inclusiveness and health outcomes across our service.<\/li>\n<li>Staff from\u00a0<b>Home Hospital\u00a0<\/b>are actively preparing\u00a0for future demand and sustainability under the Home Hospital Future initiative.<\/li>\n<li>We established the\u00a0<b>Rapid Access to Community Care service<\/b>, which is having remarkable success supporting chronically ill elderly patients stay at home and out of hospital.<\/li>\n<li>A new\u00a0<b>North Lakes Intervention Clinic\u00a0<\/b>has been established to support Hospital in the Home (HITH) patients with more complex health care needs and deliver safe clinical care locally.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-18567 lazyload\"
