Organisational skills are a fundamental aspect of Belinda’s role supporting dentists and orthodontists\u2019 delivery of oral health care to patients each day.<\/p><\/div>\n

For many of us the job we do and how we respond to challenges on a day-to-day basis can become second nature and easily navigable..<\/h4>\n

Over a 30-year oral healthcare career, it has become clear that Belinda Klumpp is one of those people who has innate organisational ability, as well as very strong (but understated) planning skills and knowledge.<\/p>\n

Belinda, who is a Senior Dental Assistant at the Kallangur Dental Clinic located at the Satellite Hospital, was a key player and seamless operator in the transition of the clinic from the Pine Rivers Community Health Centre.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was very smooth sailing for the move from Pine Rivers Community Health Centre even though there was a lot of planning involved, materials and equipment to move,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was very lucky that it was smooth \u2013 but we have a good team here at the clinic. Everyone involved in the move was very organised.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe team here at the Kallangur Dental Clinic is more like a family. We support each other and I am happy to come to work each day.\u201d<\/p>\n

Belinda started her dental assistant career around 30 years ago after being asked to help at a dental clinic when they were short staffed, and since that day she has never looked back.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn the 30 years, I have worked at dental clinics in Gympie, Redcliffe and Pine Rivers,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

\u201cI really enjoy getting to work with the patients. Seeing people happy and walking away with a smile is so important.\u201d<\/p>\n

As part of her role, Belinda supports dentists\u2019 and orthodontists\u2019 delivery of oral health care to many patients each day.<\/p>\n

On average the Kallangur Dental Clinic sees around 450 adult patients each month. The clinic has also expanded their service to manage bariatric patients requiring oral health care.<\/p>\n

Nearly 17,000 adults receive general oral health care and treatment at our general practice oral health clinics in Redcliffe, Caboolture, Sandgate, Kilcoy and Stafford, and by the Rural and Remote team.<\/p>\n

Looking back over her career, Belinda\u2019s advice is to take advantage of the opportunities that present themselves throughout your career and don\u2019t hold back.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
