Caboolture Hospital ICU Staff Specialist Dr Yogesh Apte, Acting Nurse Manager Katrina Cook, Caboolture Hospital Intensive Care Unit Clinic Nurse Melissa Petty, Research Coordinator Stacey Watts and ICU Staff Specialist Dr Mahesh Ramanan.<\/p><\/div>\n

Congratulations to several Caboolture Hospital researchers who presented at the fourth annual Queensland Critical Care Research Network (QCCRN) Annual Scientific Meeting held at Sutton\u2019s Beach in Redcliffe recently.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This meeting was aimed at researchers of all levels and all disciplines involved in the care of critically ill patients in Queensland and beyond.<\/p>\n

The event included presentations by:<\/p>\n

    \n
  • Dr Mahesh Ramanan (SCOPE-DKA Research Program)<\/li>\n
  • Dr Ramsy D\u2019Souza (Right ventricular dysfunction in critical illness: pilot multicentre echocardiography study)<\/li>\n
  • Dr Yogesh Apte and Stacey Watts (VIPCA Trial: Peripheral versus central infusion of vasopressors in critically ill shocked patients)<\/li>\n
  • A\/Professor Dylan Flaws (Post-intensive care syndrome research program).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Caboolture Hospital Intensive Care Unit Clinic Nurse Melissa Petty who worked with Dr Ramanan on the SCOPE-DKA Research Program.<\/p>\n

    The day also featured a panel discussion on improving recovery from critical illness co-led by Acting Nurse Manager Katrina Cook.<\/p>\n

    The QCCRN works to promote and develop a collaborative approach to critical care research within Queensland.<\/p>\n<\/div>
