The RBWH Foundation has launched new grants to foster and support emerging Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health innovators and researchers across the Herston Health Precinct.<\/h4>\n

RBWH Foundation CEO Simone Garske said the grants offered an exciting opportunity to work hand-in-hand with members of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities to identify and develop new ideas in healthcare which increase access to services, develop culturally safe models of care and eliminate racial discrimination.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe RBWH Foundation is proud to partner with our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander colleagues to build the capacity of passionate staff members working hard to improve community outcomes, now and into the future,\u201d said Ms Garske.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve seen the impact achieved by previous grant recipients and we\u2019re excited to now directly support our new change makers as they bring their ideas to life.\u201d<\/p>\n

Royal Brisbane and Women\u2019s Hospital (RBWH) Director of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health, Roslyn Boland, helped co-design the new grant scheme.<\/p>\n

\u201cWith our staff having grass roots understanding of the needs of patients and community, these grants will ensure quality and timely research to improve better outcomes,\u201d said Ms Boland.<\/p>\n
