Dear colleagues,<\/p>\n

This morning, the\u00a0Deputy Premier\u00a0announced a\u00a0three-day\u00a0lockdown for\u00a0the 11 Local Government Areas (LGAs) across South East Queensland\u00a0commencing at\u202f4pm today,\u00a0Saturday 31 July\u00a02021<\/span>\u202funtil 4pm Tuesday 3 August\u00a02021.\u202fThis is the result of six new cases being identified following a student of Indooroopilly High School testing positive to the virus this week.<\/span><\/p>\n

As you may be aware from media reporting, a visitor to RBWH coronary care unit (CCU) on Sunday 25July has subsequently tested positive for COVID-19.\u00a0Detailed contact tracing and testing of potentially exposed staff and patients is well underway\u00a0in alignment with the RBWH Outbreak Management Plan and the RBWH CCU is temporarily closed to any admissions from other facilities.\u00a0 In addition,\u00a0all patient hospital transfers out of RBWH to regional areas\u00a0are suspended.<\/p>\n

All staff should continue to check the\u202f<\/span>contact tracing exposure sites<\/span><\/a>\u202ftwice a day \u2013 before and after your shift \u2013 as the list of venues will continue to grow. If you have been to an exposure site, please follow the instructions on the website.\u202f<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

If you live in\u00a0one of the LGAs,\u00a0you will only be able to leave your\u00a0residence for limited permitted purposes such as:\u202f<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
