<\/span><\/div>11 August 2021<\/strong><\/p>\n Dear colleagues,<\/p>\n Today Queensland recorded four more cases of COVID-19 all linked to the Indooroopilly cluster bringing the total number of cases from this\u00a0group\u00a0to\u00a0120.\u00a0Here are today\u2019s updates.<\/p>\n ATAGI advice\u00a0on\u00a0Pfizer vaccine for children<\/strong><\/p>\n The Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation (ATAGI) has reviewed the data of the safety of this vaccine in children and now recommends the following groups of children aged 12-15 years be prioritised for vaccination using the Pfizer vaccine:<\/p>\n Staff with children in this age group are encouraged to visit the\u00a0Department of Health\u2019s website<\/a>\u00a0for more information.<\/p>\n Advice for those aged between 16 to 39 years old to receive the Pfizer vaccine is unchanged.\u00a0If you are within this age group, you will receive the Pfizer vaccine in line with ATAGI\u2019s advice.<\/p>\n New mass vaccination centre<\/strong><\/p>\n Today the new mass vaccination hub opened at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre. The hub will focus on\u00a0administering\u00a03,000 doses\u00a0of Pfizer vaccines every day and is by appointment only.\u00a0If you or someone you know is yet to receive the vaccine and is eligible, please register via the\u00a0Queensland Health website<\/a>\u00a0so that an appointment can be offered.<\/p>\n ?\ufe0f Open seven days a week<\/p>\n \u23f0 Open from 8.30 am to 4.30 pm<\/p>\n ?
