Dr Donna O’Sullivan<\/p><\/div>\n

Study Education Research Trust Account (SERTA) formerly known as the Private Practice Trust Fund is the source of the monies in this trust fund come in the Grant of Private Practice arrangements applicable to our Senior Medical Officers under their industrial arrangements. One of the annual funding agreements is with TPCH Foundation to fund New Investigator Grants, an arrangement in place since 2010. The total contribution to this process has been $100,000 annually, divided across 10 applicants<\/p>\n

        For those of you who don\u2019t yet know, I plan on retiring following a period of long service leave, commencing on the 29 July 2022. So, this may well be my last staff newsletter update to you all.<\/p>\n

        Our Director of Occupational Therapy, Suzanne Cochrane, is also retiring following a period of long service leave. Suzanne has worked at TPCH for 23 years and has made a significant contribution to the Occupational Therapy Department in this time. Thank you Suzanne, for your commitment to our community and leadership of our service. We hope you enjoy your retirement. Dr Tricia Rolls, Director of Psychology will also be taking some long service leave from July 2022, and is planning on returning to her role following a well-earned break.<\/p>\n

        I have every confidence that Allied Health will continue to support our organisation and consumers despite the above leadership changes.<\/p>\n

        Like all of you, Allied Health has been constantly adapting to the recent Tier changes in our COVID-19 response at TPCH. I am so proud and so grateful to the entire Allied Health Team for their agility and willingness to support their colleagues across the organisation during very challenging times. Allied Health clinicians have led or provided support to the following activities during our recent COVID-19 activity and response:<\/p>\n

        • Staff Fever Clinic<\/li>\n
        • Public Fever Clinic<\/li>\n
        • Fit Testing Service<\/li>\n
        • Contact Tracing Team<\/li>\n
        • RAT Pre-Procedural Clinic<\/li>\n
        • Concierge including Medi-tent<\/li>\n
        • Assisted nursing staff on the wards during recent nursing workforce shortages<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          We look forward to returning to a period of normality and stability so that we can re-focus our attention onto more strategic initiatives such as the Health Equity Strategy and Unleashing the Potential: an open and equitable health system.<\/p>\n

          Thank you all for commitment, hard work and outstanding efforts over the past months. The services you deliver to our patients make a substantial difference, and they are certainly a reason to be proud.<\/p>\n<\/div>
