Dear\u00a0Team\u00a0Royal,<\/p>\n

Welcome to the new-look News at the Royal and the first edition back in\u00a0a number of\u00a0months.<\/p>\n

This week has brought\u00a0a number of\u00a0unexpected changes across the hospital, however in true Team Royal fashion you have taken them in your stride and continued to provide\u00a0great healthcare to our patients. While we navigate this unprecedented time, there is still much to celebrate, and much to reflect on.<\/p>\n

Like many things, COVID-19 put a pause to our story sharing early in the year. But as you\u2019ll see in this edition, it certainly didn\u2019t dampen our Team Royal spirit and our commitment to always putting our patients first. Even amid preparing\u00a0for\u00a0and responding to a global pandemic, you have taken out research awards, reached incredible heights in waste reduction, transformed patients\u2019 lives through quality engagement with our Interpreter Services and found new ways to bring joy and fun to the workplace.<\/p>\n

Together, as a team, we have achieved so much this year and I cannot thank you enough for your dedication and compassion.<\/p>\n

Lastly,\u00a0I\u2019d like to remind you about\u00a0the\u00a0Herston Healthcare Symposium<\/a>\u00a0which is coming up in December.\u00a0This is our largest annual research event and a wonderful opportunity to showcase your research and learn about others. Over four days, you\u2019ll hear from leaders in healthcare and how we are improving best practice healthcare through collaborations with our academic and research partners. Keep an eye out in coming months for registration to the free event.<\/p>\n
