Work buddies are an initiative of the COH Clinical Council. \u00a0The main goal is to make new staff feel welcome and supported, as well as helped new starters understand the MN Values from the outset.<\/strong><\/p>\n

As well as welcoming new starters, work buddies can and connect them with key people who they may need to contact to answer any administrative, operational or clinical questions that they may have.<\/p>\n

So far, the program has been well received and has received positive feedback:<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen you work for such a large organisation sometimes you can feel quite insignificant. Having a work buddy made me feel confident that my organisation does actually care about me.\u201d \u2013 Bek, Pharmacist<\/p>\n

Work buddies are fellow staff who have volunteered to be the \u2018go to person\u2019 for our new starters during the first few weeks working for Community and Oral Health.<\/p>\n

Currently our Work Buddies are Clinical Council members and VIA Champions, however it is hoped we will recruit more Buddies as the program grows.<\/p>\n
