More than 1,000 hospital staff are now enjoying the benefits of on-campus car parking \u2013 and it\u2019s not too late to join them. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Hospital staff can still sign-up for the special staff parking rate and take advantage of salary packaging arrangements.<\/p>\n

Director of Facility Services Janene Farr said hospital staff who chose to park off-campus and in nearby streets needed to make sure they understood how parking rules and regulations worked.<\/p>\n

\u201cCar parking in the streets around the hospital is regulated by Moreton Bay Regional Council and Queensland Police,\u201d Janene said.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnyone who breaks those regulations, by parking too close to driveways, or by not leaving enough space between vehicles, should expect to be fined or have their vehicles towed away.\u201d<\/p>\n

Janene said that for most staff, parking on campus was a much safer and better option.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe hospital\u2019s car park offers undercover parking, with good lighting and security call points. It\u2019s a much safer option for staff, especially those working at night,\u201d Janene said.<\/p>\n
