Joel welcomed back to Redcliffe after his ride<\/p><\/div>\n

Ride for Redcliffe raises $10k for research<\/strong><\/p>\n

Dr Joel Dulhunty has been welcomed back to Redcliffe Hospital after a Herculean 42-day and 2,621-kilometre bike ride raising funds for medical research.<\/p>\n

Joel’s Ride for Redcliffe has so far raised more than $10,000 toward a new research position at Redcliffe Hospital.<\/p>\n

Joel said he had many people to thank for making the trip possible.<\/p>\n

“First, a huge thank you to my wonderful wife Naoni, for the privilege of sharing this amazing journey with her,” Joel said.<\/p>\n

“I would also like to thank the many hospital staff and friends who supported us through words of encouragement and by their generous donations to Raise it for Redcliffe.”<\/p>\n

Joel said that among the many highlights along the trip, the last day and arriving back at Redcliffe had been particularly special.<\/p>\n

“On the last day of our ride, we left Woodford as the mist was rising into a beautiful blue sunny day. It was so magical that there was a thought in the back of my mind saying wouldn’t it be nice to just keep riding?”<\/p>\n

Joel says he will keep on riding and continue to donate $1 for every kilometre he rides on his touring bike or his Penny Farthing.<\/p>\n
