The results are in: patients positively rate their experience at STARS.<\/strong><\/p>\n

By using real-time collection and reporting system implemented by Queensland Health, STARS is able to capture Patient Reported Experience Measures (PREMs). \u00a0This system supports clinicians in partnering with patients to achieve safe and high-quality care.<\/p>\n

\u201cAt STARS we are committed to partnering with our patients to provide excellent care,\u201d STARS Allied Health Director Kellie Stockton said.<\/p>\n

\u201cInpatients who are discharged from an inpatient stay at STARS and who have a mobile phone number listed in their hospital record are sent a text message inviting them to participate in the online survey about their recent experience and the care they received.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe results are in, and 90 per cent of respondents have rated their overall care at STARS as very good (the state average is 72 per cent). Overall, patients have had an excellent experience.\u201d<\/p>\n

As of the end of May 2021, STARS is one of the top performers in the state with a 27 per cent response rate \u2013 the state average is just 14 per cent!<\/p>\n

STARS has received positive feedback from patients:<\/p>\n

\u201cHealth professionals took into account the individual needs of the patient and did their best to meet my requirements.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cUnconditionally friendly healthcare workers.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cI was really impressed with the care and professionalism I received. It made me feel much calmer with regard to my procedure.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cThe positivity from all staff was brilliant.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cOverall the staff and care I received was well above and beyond.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cAll the staff members are warm hearted.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
