Redcliffe has never been greener – thanks to the arrival of a new electric vehicle and free electric vehicle charging in the hospital’s multi-storey car park.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Fleet Manager Rhonda Neal said the hospital’s new electric vehicle was a green choice and a good choice.<\/p>\n

“It’s a greener alternative, but also the right size vehicle for clinicians who need to take equipment with them on home and community visits.”<\/p>\n

Rhonda said that hospital staff were already embracing the change, with the vehicle having logged over 1,000 greener kilometres,” Rhonda said.<\/p>\n

Carpark Coordinator Mark Luff is also an active member of the hospital’s Green Team.<\/p>\n

He said that many of the 11 electric vehicle charging bays in the multi-storey car park were now in daily use.<\/p>\n

“Until the end of the year, there’s no charge for the charge either, with a free trial helping users get into the green habit.”<\/p>\n

“Car parking fees still apply, but users only need to download a free app to connect their electric vehicle to charging bays.”<\/p>\n
