When I reflect on the past few months there are too many people\u00a0across our directorate who\u00a0I could\u00a0list here and\u00a0acknowledge for their outstanding work and\u00a0commitment.\u00a0As one,\u00a0Community and Oral Health always comes together when there is a challenge\u00a0and\u00a0hard\u00a0work to be done.<\/h4>\n

December Shining Star\u00a0Award<\/h2>\n

In times like these it is important that we continue to\u00a0recognise\u00a0our\u00a0staff through our formal Monthly\u00a0Shining Star Award.\u00a0At the same time, I\u00a0would also like to\u00a0thank\u00a0those people\u00a0who are continuing to\u00a0take the time to\u00a0nominate\u00a0their deserving\u00a0peers for this award.<\/p>\n

In December we had\u00a0four\u00a0great nominations:<\/p>\n

Sam Tapp, Clinical Nurse Consultant, Hospital in the Home\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cSam always shows\u00a0empathy, compassion and responsiveness to all Hospital in the Home\u00a0patients. I have enjoyed working alongside Sam as she always works to get the best outcome for our patients.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u00a0is the quiet work in the background that is not always visible that ensures\u00a0patients receive a great health and social outcome as Sam will always go \u2018over and above\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n

Renee Meier, Executive Support Officer, Community and Oral Health\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cRenee went above and beyond to assist me with not only purchasing, but also collecting and delivering\u00a0the umbrellas\u00a0for the Kippa-Ring clinic\u00a0recently.<\/p>\n

\u201cSome of this was done in her own time and with the absolute best of attitudes. This was values in action at its finest!\u201d<\/p>\n

Keir McEwan, Administrative Officer, Hospital in the Home\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cKeir\u00a0is the\u00a0most amazing\u00a0administration\u00a0officer.\u00a0Nothing is ever too much trouble for Keir \u2013 she is so calm, helpful, friendly and goes over and above for staff and patients.<\/p>\n

\u201cKeir is always positive and has amazing warmth and is popular amongst all staff for her ability to make everyone feel \u2018special\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n

Dental Assistants, Stafford Dental Clinic\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cFor making the clinic more\u00a0organised\u00a0by well-arranged stocks which are easy to find and identify, plus\u00a0ensuring\u00a0faster ordering\u00a0resulting in greater stock control.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor also their creative Christmas decorations that made the clinic filled with joyous, positive vibes leading\u00a0into a great holiday celebration.\u201d<\/p>\n
