I have seen incredible examples of leadership, problem solving and camaraderie this year, and I am always humbled to work with such a dedicated team. As many of you know, Queensland schools return next week, which marks the very first day of prep for my daughter. Needless to say, there is a lot of excitement in our house at the moment. I\u2019ll be taking the next 2 weeks off to do school drop-offs and pick-ups and will handover to Simon Bugden to act as CKW Executive Director while I am on leave. <\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>With the number of COVID cases across MNH on the decline and our current bed pressures, CKW will prepare <strong>to transfer a small number of our COVID positive patients to the RBWH COVID ward tomorrow<\/strong>. This work will be led and coordinated by the CKW EOC.<\/li>\n<li>Let\u2019s ensure we are proactively <strong>planning for the weekend<\/strong>, including safe and effective discharge planning today and over the weekend.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Fit testing<\/strong> remains a priority for all MN staff. <strong style=\"color: #c00000\">Appointments are available this Sunday (06\/02).<\/strong> Call&nbsp;5316&nbsp;2422 to make an appointment.<\/li>\n<li>Please review and familiarise yourselves with the attached <strong>Return to Work processes for COVID <a href=\"https:\/\/metronorth.health.qld.gov.au\/staff-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/25\/2022\/02\/ckw-return-to-work-positives.pdf\">positive<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/metronorth.health.qld.gov.au\/staff-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/25\/2022\/02\/ckw-return-to-work-close.pdf\">close<\/a> contact staff.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>All MN staff are strongly encouraged to get their <strong>COVID-19 booster vaccination as soon as eligible<\/strong>. A reminder that it is now available three months after you have received your second dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.<\/li>\n<li>All staff are reminded to <strong>upload their booster vaccination status to TMS<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Our preparedness and response to the pandemic is working really well.
