My sincere thanks to all staff for their response and support over the last few days and in particular those who worked the weekend. In true form everyone was simply outstanding in their efforts and I am very grateful to work with such a generous group of people. Our patients and their families are most thankful for the care and communications they received which kept them up to date and less anxious around what was happening with their loved ones.<\/h4>\n

The following points will be of interest:<\/p>\n

    \n
  • The RNA fever\/testing clinic will not reopen as the flood response now requires that space to accommodate the Mud Army which is a priority in the coming days<\/li>\n
  • Our community can access COVID testing via their GPs and other local providers.<\/li>\n
  • RBWH will support our staff with RAT testing kits being available through their line managers during business hours and via the After Hours Nurse Managers as required.<\/li>\n
  • Carparking – availability for tomorrow has been confirmed as follows:<\/li>\n
  • Cornerstone Carpark \u2013 standard daily staff discounted rates will be applied to users as per normal arrangements.<\/li>\n
  • Butterfield St and Bramston Terrace Carparks \u2013 whilst power has not yet returned to Butterfield Street – the boom gates at both facilities will remain open for staff and Patients to access. Access to the hospital at this point in time remains via Bramston Terrace off Herston Road or via Central Drive off Bowen Bridge Road.<\/li>\n
  • When the power is restored normal staff discounted access will apply. To the best of our ability we will keep you updated when this changes.<\/li>\n
  • Parking at the RNA Showgrounds – Parking available at RNA pavilion carpark at normal rates. To obtain staff discounted rates staff can email parking@ma.org.au with their rego and staff detail.<\/li>\n
  • Access to RNA is still via O\u2019Connell Terrace. For your information the best way to enter is via Greggory Terrace, into Brooks Street and then into O\u2019Connell Terrace.<\/li>\n
  • Street parking around the hospital \u2013 time restrictions remain in place as per council signage.
    \nWe are all struggling to navigate this tricky time so please take care, watch out for each other and let us know if you need support.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
