This year’s staff flu vaccination campaign<\/a> is off to a flying start. On the first day of this year’s campaign, around a quarter of Redcliffe Hospital staff rolled up their sleeves to be vaccinated against the flu.<\/h4>\n

Cathy Fritz and our Infection Prevention team kicked off this year’s staff flu vaccination campaign on Wednesday with a one-day vaccination blitz in MBICC. I was one of the 498 hospital staff who took the positive step to protect ourselves, our families, and our patients against the flu this winter.<\/p>\n

Cathy tells me that it was the great support from the pharmacy team, admin, patient support services, facility services, and the nursing support unit that made the clinic such a success.<\/p>\n

The pharmacy team is providing flu vaccination clinics each weekday from this week on. You’ll need to make an appointment for these clinics online<\/a>. Infection Prevention will be running mobile and pop-up clinics in clinical areas as well.<\/p>\n

Being vaccinated for the flu is one of the quickest and most effective things you can do to help the hospital prepare for the winter season.<\/p>\n
