\"CabooltureLet the countdown begin \u2013 it\u2019s just 11 months until forecast construction completion.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

The new Caboolture Hospital clinical services building (CSB) and multi-storey carpark (MSC) are just 11 months from forecast completion, which means we are on track to start services in both facilities by mid-2023.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Major construction works continue across all sites – including the new BEMS Building and the CHRP team celebrated a major milestone on the CSB earlier in the month \u2013 the final concrete pour of Level 5 was completed.<\/p>\n

Construction works will now primarily focus on the internal fit-out and works to get ready to install major medical equipment over the coming months.<\/p>\n

For the Operational Commissioning and Service Readiness teams, 11 months until forecast construction completion is an exciting milestone on the countdown to the occupancy period \u2013 during which services are fully tested and everything is put in place to safely transition services and patients to start from Day 1.<\/p>\n

The first Trailblazer\u2019s Network Forum was held in May. With more than 80 CKW staff taking-up a CHRP Trailblazer role (Move Coordinator and\/or Change Champion) it is safe to say there is a real buzz across the directorate to make sure we have everything in place to safely start from Day 1.<\/p>\n

The Trailblazer\u2019s Network Forums are an excellent opportunity to learn about the move process the hospital will undergo as it prepares for Day 1. A reminder that all staff are welcome to attend the Trailblazer\u2019s Network Forums, which are held in the Lecture Theatre and via TEAMS.<\/p>\n

The Service Readiness team has also been busy supporting the development of new models of care. Several departments, including Infection Control, Pharmacy, the Transit Hub and BEMS, have now completed their models of care, with many more on track for completion in the coming weeks.<\/p>\n

The procurement of furniture, fittings and equipment (FF&E) is also progressing well with several orders already placed – including more than 3000 dispensers (for hand gel, gloves, goggles, aprons and paper towels), over 200 desks, 22 Fire Warden Boards, 80 Diagnostic Sets and 39 emergency bed trolleys.<\/p>\n

A significant amount of work has also progressed in the Workforce Readiness space, including activities which aim to increase the number of employees who identify as Aboriginal and\/or Torres Strait Islander working at Caboolture Hospital.<\/p>\n

CHRP activities will continue to ramp-up over the coming months as the project nears construction completion, so stay tuned for future updates and ways you can get involved to help get ready as we prepare for Day 1 and starting services in the new CSB.<\/p>\n
