There are many teams and individuals across our service who are unsung heroes who don\u2019t get the accolades that they deserve.<\/h4>\n

As part of National Stroke Week, I want to share Bob\u2019s story and the work of the Community Based Rehabilitation Team (CBRT).<\/p>\n

Bob is a patient that has been cared for by CBRT since his stroke in June and release from Redcliffe Hospital.<\/p>\n

While the last few months have been a very difficult time for Bob it has also been a period of\u00a0reflection and recovery.<\/p>\n

Bob, who has his 89th<\/sup>\u00a0birthday just around the corner, was quickly able to get back into some of the things he enjoys with the support of his family and the CBRT team including life in the garden\u00a0and\u00a0playing lawn bowls.<\/p>\n

\"CBRT\"CBRTThank you to this wonderful, compassionate team who always put the patient first and who are clearly one of our unsung heroes!<\/p>\n
