Louise Oriti, Executive Director, Redcliffe Hospital<\/p><\/div>\n

We’ve heard a lot recently about how we’re all heading back to business as usual <\/em>(BAU) after stepping back from our COVID and Influenza response.\u00a0Speaking at our Managers Forum yesterday, our Director of Safety and Quality, Grant Carey-Ide, challenged us all to do something better – a transition to business\u00a0better\u00a0than usual <\/em>(BBTU).\u00a0In the coming weeks, expect to hear more about this idea – as we shift our focus from COVID and Influenza back squarely onto our safety and quality agenda.<\/h4>\n

Child Protection Training<\/h2>\n

Part of that safety and quality agenda is ensuring our mandatory and requisite training is up to date, including Metro North’s new online child protection training program – Supporting all Families Everyday (SaFE) V2.\u00a0SaFE V2 <\/em>is now available on TMS and I encourage everyone to log in and complete this mandatory training as soon as possible.<\/p>\n

#IamRedcliffe<\/em> Thank You Staff BBQ<\/h2>\n

It was great to see everyone out yesterday enjoying our\u00a0#IamRedcliffe\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>Thank You Staff BBQ. Thanks again to our operational and Facility Services teams for making that BBQ possible. This Staff BBQ was all about the hospital saying thank you for the hard work everyone put in over the winter months because\u00a0we say thankyou to show our appreciation. #IamRedcliffe.\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Research Symposium<\/h2>\n

Redcliffe Hospital’s Research Symposium is one of the most important events of our hospital’s calendar. Once again this year, the Symposium showcased the depth of talent and significant contribution our hospital makes to clinical research and improving patient safety.\u00a0Thank you to everyone who presented and prepared posters, and especially to Elwyn Henaway for his keynote address.<\/p>\n

Following Elwyn’s address, we announced the Urology Department as our Research Excellence Award winner for 2022, in recognition of their extensive contribution to research that benefits patients – including clinical trials and their collaboration with the Herston Biofabrication Institute.<\/p>\n
