HBI Summer School in Clinically Applied 3D Printing, 15-19 Feb 2021<\/h2>\n<\/div>

Eligibility: All Queensland Health clinicians can enrol. Limited to 15 places.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Course Director: Dr Michael Wagels, Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon, HBI Clinical Director.<\/strong><\/p>\n

A 5 day intensive course to equip you with the essential skills to kick-off your clinically applied 3D printing journey.<\/p>\n

The course will focus on the latest clinical and engineering advances in the space, as well as practical hands-on time where you will learn to segment medical images of bony structure and soft tissue, computer-aided design essentials, and an array of 3D printing techniques.<\/p>\n

The course includes a design competition where mentors will work with you to create a device that will help you solve hardware challenges you encounter in your clinical practice.<\/p>\n

  • Segmenting anatomical structures<\/li>\n
  • Advanced manufacturing and biomaterials<\/li>\n
  • 3D bioprinting<\/li>\n
  • Introduction to organoids<\/li>\n
  • 3D printing for education and surgery<\/li>\n
  • Working in the virtual environment<\/li>\n
  • Medical device design challenge<\/li>\n
  • Point-of-care 3D printing<\/li>\n
  • A Metro North HHS Certificate of Completion will be issued to participants.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
