COVID-19 (coronavirus) Fever Clinics and Community Assessment Clinics
Updated 25 June 2020 under Public Health alert no. 14 and CDNA National Guidelines (v3.3)
Metro North Hospital and Health Service is conducting COVID-19 (coronavirus) screening at Fever Clinics and Community Assessment Clinics at a range of locations.
These clinics are for people who have:
- Fever (of 37.5 degrees or above) or history of fever (e.g. night sweats, chills)
- Acute respiratory infection (e.g. cough, shortness of breath, sore throat)
- A loss of smell or loss of taste
- Anyone presenting for, or requesting, testing
You will be advised if you need to self-isolate.
Other reported symptoms of COVID-19 include: fatigue, runny nose, muscle pain, joint pain, diarrhoea, nausea/vomiting and loss of appetite.
Information for children requiring testing
Children presenting to any of our fever clinics can have a swab taken for COVID-19 testing.
If your child is sick and needs healthcare or requires treatment, please take them to The Prince Charles Hospital, Redcliffe Hospital, Caboolture Hospital or Queensland Children’s Hospital.

Please ring the buzzer at the Emergency Care Department entrance (not ambulance entrance) to alert staff. You may need to wait after initial triage by phone.
Outside of these hours, please attend the Morayfield Health Hub GP Respiratory Clinic.
