Noel was a smart, passionate, and effective advocate, and it was great to witness the impact he had on health services for our community and at the national level.<\/p>\n<p>His amazing legacy at RBWH started as a founding member of a small team of staff and consumers who worked in partnership to develop a model of engagement. He was integral to the development of the RBWH Consumer and Community Engagement Framework, which won an International Hospital Federation award in 2015.<\/p>\n<p>Noel provided great leadership and support for RBWH in the early days as we strengthened our partnerships to ensure we achieved high standards in consumer engagement.<\/p>\n<p>Noel was the inaugural consumer representative lead in many ways, including being the first consumer representative:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>on the RBWH Executive Committee<\/li>\n<li>on the RBWH Safety and Quality Committee<\/li>\n<li>as Chair of the RBWH Consumer Advisory Group<\/li>\n<li>to judge the QuARRIES Awards<\/li>\n<li>to present QuARRIES Awards trophies for Consumer Engagement to RBWH staff<\/li>\n<li>to co-present RBWH presentations and workshops at National Conferences.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>It was an absolute privilege to work with Noel.
