RBWH takes the top gong at netball <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n

RBWH once again demonstrated their fine sporting skills and costume prowess with four teams participating in the annual Metro North Netball Tournament!<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The\u00a0Splintaz\u00a0team from RBWH Occupation Therapy took our first place for the second year running thanks to their speed,\u00a0precision\u00a0and overall enthusiasm.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The I-V Leaguers, made up for RBWH Registered Nurses, won best dressed on the day and it's easy to see why!<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

RBWH team Put Me Anywhere placed forth, while the Net\u00a0Fash\u00a0team also delivered some stiff competition.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Clean and green for National\u00a0Recycling Week<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n

\u00a0<\/span>RBWH celebrated National Recycling Week from 8-14 November. The Metro North Environment and Waste team in collaboration with the RBWH Green Team hosted a Recycling Showcase and Forum to help showcase what is already happening at RBWH in the sustainability space and highlight ways we can do more.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The showcase included a forum with\u00a0a\u00a0Q&A, workshops hosted by Reverse Garbage designed to inspire staff to reduce, reuse and recycle, and displays from RBWH\u2019s recycling partners.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Well done to the Nutrition and Dietetics team for their work on the drive!<\/p><\/div>\n

Team Royal provides meals for those in need<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n

The RBWH Nutrition and Dietetics team would like to say a huge thank you to Team Royal for their huge contribution to the annual Foodbank Hunger Drive.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Overall, we raised $3,125 for\u00a0FoodBank, which provided 6,250 meals for Queenslanders in need.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

RBWH\u00a0senior\u00a0dietician Cindy Jennings said that 47 per cent of Queensland residents experiencing food insecurity have accessed food relief at least once since the start of the pandemic.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\"Thanks to the generosity of Team Royal staff and friends, we smashed our initial target of $2000,\" she said.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
