ongoing benefit to patients and staff.

In announcing the successful grants, Redcliffe Hospital’s Executive Director said the grants had been made possible thanks to the generous donations and support of our hospital community throughout 2020 and 2021.

Projects funded under this round include:

Emergency Department, $2,614 toward their paediatric distraction storage trolley project.

Intensive Care Unit, $5,000 toward their ICU digital waiting room project.

Urology, $8,308 toward patient-matched anatomical models of rooms, and staff spaces at Redcliffe Hospital.

The upgrades and improvements directly result from staff feedback and suggestions from last year’s Have Your Say Staff Survey.

Executive Director Louise Oriti said 45% of staff participated in the survey last year, providing candid and useful feedback and suggestions of how to make Redcliffe Hospital a truly great place to work.

“From senior leadership down to unit and ward level, the results of that survey have been taken seriously and continue to guide decision-making,” Louise said

Projects to be funded include upgrades to tea rooms and staff spaces in Pharmacy, Level 5, and Paediatrics.

Louise said the majority of the funding, would be spent on improving the break and locker rooms in operating theatres on Level 2.

Facility Services Director Janene Farr said those improvements would include better facilities in the operating theatre tea rooms like new tables and chairs, television, dishwasher, fridge, and freezer.

“The locker rooms are the big project, though, they’ll be significantly modernised and a new locker system installed.”

Janene said it was expected that all of the projects would be completed by the middle of the year.

<div class="fusion-separator fusion-full-width-sep"
