Redcliffe Hospital staff are the first in Metro North to show off the health service\u2019s new-look ID cards.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The new design ID cards will soon also be rolled out across Community and Oral Health, with Caboolture and TPCH to follow later this year.<\/p>\n

Facility Services Director Janene Farr said the new-look cards were issued for the first time at Redcliffe in February, with nursing graduates among the first to receive them.<\/p>\n

\u201cExisting staff are also being issued the new ID cards when their cards expire, or they need a replacement,\u201d Janene said.<\/p>\n

Janene encouraged everyone to check the expiration date on their ID cards and make arrangements for a replacement if ID cards were damaged or difficult to read.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf your ID card has stickers on it or has the name or photo scratched out, it must be replaced now.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a requirement that everyone wears their ID card when at work and that the ID card can be read by staff and patients.\u201d<\/p>\n

Redcliffe Hospital Executive Director Louise Oriti said that staff ID cards were an essential part of keeping patients and each other safe and secure.<\/p>\n

\u201cYour ID card is not just your key to the building; it\u2019s also the way that you show our patients that you can be trusted and that you\u2019re accountable for the care you\u2019re providing,\u201d Louise said.<\/p>\n
