Volunteers and auxiliary members have returned to Redcliffe Hospital after standing down back in March for their own safety.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Redcliffe Hospital Executive Director Louise Oriti said asking the volunteers and auxiliary members to stand down temporarily had been a difficult decision but a necessary one to protect them from the risk of COVID-19.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat was back in March, and everyone was very keen for our volunteers and auxiliary to be back with us, as soon it was safe for them,\u201d Louise said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Auxiliary Gift Shop in the foyer of the hospital is open again, offering books, CDs and lots of hand-made gifts, and hospital volunteers are back at the front counter of the hospital, in SOPD and many other places.\u201d<\/p>\n

Louise said there had already been some lovely feedback from our volunteers saying how warmly they\u2019ve been welcomed back by staff.<\/p>\n<\/div>
