Tier three \u2013 bed capacity<\/h4>\n

RBWH is currently on Tier Three due to an acute shortage of bed capacity across the hospital.<\/p>\n

The Incident Management Team has been activated.<\/p>\n

We are experiencing a high level of demand for beds at RBWH today. We ask all staff to focus on clinical priorities and facilitate discharges where appropriate.<\/p>\n

All wards are requested to accept one over census patient within the next hour to decant and disperse the current load in our ETC of patients for admission.<\/p>\n

All inter-hospital transfers are to be approved by a Consultant and must be registered on the IHT Portal.<\/p>\n

Please ensure that community services are considered and optimised and escalate any discharge delays to Patient Flow Services.<\/p>\n
