Dr Emmah Doig is an occupational therapist and conjoint research fellow in the STARS Education and Research Alliance. Emmah is an experienced clinician researcher in the fields of brain injury rehabilitation,\u00a0goal setting and knowledge translation. Emmah has published over 45 research papers, her\u00a0work has been presented in almost 40 conference presentations\u00a0and she has been awarded 13 competitive research grants. \u00a0Dr Doig is also a co-founder of\u00a0BRAINSPAN<\/a>\u00a0(the Brain Impairment Clinician and Researcher Peer Network), a multidisciplinary network which brings together clinicians and researchers in the field of brain injury across Australia to share knowledge and skills and encourage the translation of research findings into clinical practice. Emmah is also the chair of the Knowledge and Impact Theme subcommittee at the University of Queensland. Emmah has won awards for research translation\u00a0and occupational therapy. Emmah is regularly involved as an expert peer reviewer for research journals and research grant panels, and supports a team of PhD, Masters, Advanced Research students and clinician researchers to conduct research having to date successfully supervised to completion 2 PhD and 6 advanced research students.\u00a0 Emmah\u2019s clinical research has had positive impacts on society leading to the\u00a0funding of necessary clinical services in the field of brain injury and the promotion of person-centred care and implementation of person and family centred goal setting in clinical practice settings.<\/p>\nEmail:<\/strong> e.doig@uq.edu.au<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>
