It is commonly used to monitor:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>pregnancy (not available at STARS)<\/li>\n<li>blood vessels<\/li>\n<li>joints and tendons<\/li>\n<li>soft tissues<\/li>\n<li>internal organs including the liver, gall bladder, kidneys and reproductive organs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Our services<\/h2>\n<p>We provide the following ultrasound services:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>All general US examinations including renal, hepatology, vascular, MSK<\/li>\n<li>Breast, obstetrics and gynecology<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>How to prepare for your test<\/h2>\n<p>There are different preparations required depending on the area of your body being scanned. We will give you instructions on how to prepare for your scan.<\/p>\n<h2>What happens during the procedure?<\/h2>\n<p>Examinations usually take between 15 and 60 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>After you change into a hospital gown, the sonographer will guide you throughout the procedure.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>You will be asked to lie in position on a trolley.<\/li>\n<li>Gel will be applied to your skin over the area to be scanned.<\/li>\n<li>Slight pressure is used as the ultrasound is moved around your body, but it should not be painful.<\/li>\n<li>You could be asked to hold your breath or roll into different positions during the scan.<\/li>\n<li>Once the scan is complete, the gel will be wiped off your skin<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>What happens after the procedure?<\/h2>\n<p>You can eat and drink normally after your scan is finished.
