Anyone who has symptoms of COVID-19, even if they are mild, must get tested.
Symptoms include:
- Fever
- Cough
- Sore throat
- Shortness of breath
- Runny nose
- Fatigue
- Loss of smell and/or taste
You will need to self-isolate if a test is taken.
Other reported symptoms of COVID-19 include: fatigue, runny nose, muscle pain, joint pain, diarrhoea, nausea/vomiting and loss of appetite.
Information for children requiring testing
Children presenting to any of our fever clinics can have a swab taken for COVID-19 testing.
If your child is sick and needs healthcare or requires treatment, please take them to The Prince Charles Hospital, Redcliffe Hospital, Caboolture Hospital or Queensland Children’s Hospital.
