What is an Expression of Interest?
An Expression of Interest (EOI) is used to fill higher duties, backfill opportunities, projects, any other short-term temporary engagements and permanent base grade positions. Non-base grade vacancies over 6 months need to be advertised through Springboard using a Request to Hire.
Non-Frontline roles require approval from the MN Responsible Workforce Management Committee before advertising on the EOI Portal. Hiring Managers are required to upload the approval document when submitting a vacancy on the EOI Portal.
It is important to note:
- An EOI process does not meet the minimum advertising requirements for:
- direct appointment of a temporary employee to permanent status in a non-entry level role
